Three kids, check! A jam packed car plus a Thule, check! Bikes attached to back of car, check! We are off to San Diego...a 6 hour ride due to bathroom breaks and a lunch stop...
After the 6 hour ride, we arrived at our beach house on Felspar Street ~ Betty's Beach Bungalow. This house was about 5 blocks from the beach, and just enough room for us for the week, and FREE laundry at the house. I did loads and loads of sandy wash!
We arrived late afternoon on Saturday, ate some dinner across the street at Woodstock Pizza, and then headed to the beach. Phil was flying in the next day, and Scott and the boys would get him from the airport.
This first night at the beach was awesome! We were right by Crystal Pier. The waves were crashing in and we were able to see the sunset. The boys loved the ocean and Sophie was a little more hesitant because it was her FIRST TIME AT THE BEACH! She caught on quickly, though, after watching her ge-ge's.
It was a great first night at the beach. There is just something so magical about being here. The kids had the best time running in and out of the water and Sophie fell in love with the beach from this night on ;)
