We entered the ship on the level that they hold the airplanes inside ( then the elevator raises them to the top deck where they can take off ). We were able to see the kitchen area, bunks, post office, payroll...lots of the ship were available for us to check out.
Phil said he was on this ship at one point in his military career. I asked him if this was upsetting to be on it again, after serving in the war, and he said it was not.
There were cockpits of airplanes that you could check out and sit in....
There were also stand alone seats to sit in and buckle up!
We got the boys headsets to listen to the information as they walked thru the ship. I think they really liked listening, as they kept them on their ears ;)
Next we headed to the upper deck, which was lined with many helicopters.
Just like with the airplanes, we could climb aboard the choppers as well. Sophie especially loved this, and she wanted a million pictures of her taken after she put on the seat belts!
Very cool ship to walk thru and explore, especially with Phil!
