We skied at Beaver Creek all week, about 10 minutes away from Vail. Kami said it was better for beginners, and it was just perfect for us! Skiing in March was great- it was warm enough that we could go without a heavy coat, it was not freezing as we waited to ski, we could sit outside and eat, and the snow was great for first time skiers like us!
This was day one, before we hit the slopes...everyone is excited ;)
Connor and Hayden took everything in...
On our way up the mountain! The kids LOVED the ski lift...so much so that the lift operator called us "loopers" because we just kept staying on to ride up and down again ;) Love my little LOOPERS!
Once we made it to the top, we headed for the bunny hills to learn. Connor got it right away, and Hayden was very soon to follow. I helped Sophie by holding onto her bibs. She did pretty good, but she always wanted to lean back, not forward.
On this first day, Scott and Damien also got to ski alone, without the boys. Once they were done, they did take the boys up to the green run, as the boys were feeling pretty confident. Hayden felt so ready that he took off down the mountain, ALONE! Scott had to yell to Damien to take Connor down so that he could catch up to Hayden!!
Everyone did so, so great skiing. The kids, and Scott, could not get enough! We skied at this location the remaining days of the trip, also.
